Eastwood - Round Three

Hey everyone, sorry for the delayed update!  I got home late last night, so I'm just now getting a chance to write.

Yesterday was better, still not good, but better.  I definitely putted better, with a grand total of 27 putts and two birdies!  The wind was a little gusty yesterday, which made hitting greens a little tougher.  On top of that I think I got a little ahead of myself as far as my mental game goes.  I was so excited that my putts were falling.  But when it came to my approach shots, I think I lost focus a little bit.  I caught myself looking up a few times to see the great shot I hit...before I actually hit it...resulting in a not so great shot!  I only hit SEVEN greens yesterday.  It was a great day for short game practice, haha.  Hitting seven greens means I had 11 "up and down" (or saves for par) opportunities.  I made 6 of those saves for par.  So that was an okay statistic for such a rough day.

I ended up carding a three over, 75 for the day.  I finished at 12th place for the tournament.  Definitely not my best tournament, but we all have "off" weeks, so I'm just going to keep working hard.  I'll take this next week and really work on my game and fine tune some things for my next event which is the Women's Open qualifier in Atlanta.

Thanks again for all your encouragement, and for keeping up with my golfing adventures!  Have a great week!
